Kupe inquiry

 Kupe's journey

There was a great rangatira named Kupe, kupe´s land was dying and all the fish were stolen by Te wheke o muturangi, so he set off to find new land followed by his most trusted friend Ngahue on his journey he took his biggest waka named Ngatoki. He traveled far and wide but no hope but he found Hawaiki, hawaiki was taken by another chief so he hid waiting. After horse of waiting they finally slept then he sneaked into the chiefs tent and he found Hine te aparangi he was stunned over her beauty so he took he and the chiefs waka matawhaorua. Him and his army carried on their rowing they rowed for days and then two manu arrived and dropped leaves upon them it gave them hope and blessing and then four taniwha were guiding him those taniwha were named Niwa, Araiteuru, Rangi uru hinga and Puhi moana ariki. And not far Hine te aparangi saw land then she called out,¨He ao he ao he Aotearoa in english The land of the long white cloud.

Aotearoa

After spotting the great ika a maui they voyaged around aotearoa and then found the home of Te wheke o muturangi, Kupe sneaked in the watery cave and set to kill him they finally meet face to face and fought to the death muturangi swung his tentacles at kupe and let out a mighty roar. kupe swung his axe to succeed to cut off his tentacles muturangi moans and begs for mercy but kupe didn't accept and swung once again upon muturangi´s head and killed it and kupe collects his rightful prize and settled along with his exhausted men they built tents and rested. After 40 years Kupe had a son but he didn't make it him and his wife were sad so kupe carried his dead son Tuputupu Whenua up on top of Niwa and buried him were only one stream flows Te puna o te ao marama he did a karakia and had a new task that he would go back to his original home and never return but he loved aotearoa he didn't want to leave if it's unsafe so he left Niwa, araiteuru and his firstborn and left aotearoa.

Kupe´s task

As kupe journeys back home heartbroken and alone he Makes it back to his original home he kept his word and settled after another 40 years he laid his hope into his grandson Nukutawhiti he did a karakia a and sent him on a quest to go back to aotearoa nukutawhiti gladly agreed that he would reclaimed what kupe had found. Kupe had finally passed on to a happier place and so forth nukutawhiti left and with two kaihautu alongside him they had struggles and painful rides but they  finally made it to the last faze they had to get past Niwa and araiteuru to got to aotearoa he did a haka. After getting past niwa and araiteuru him and the kaihautu made it to aotearoa.

(Moana) There are three waves named Ranginui Rangiroa and Ngarupai whenua.

(Harbour) The harbour is the entrance to hokianga.
